Welcome to Still River Mill, LLC.’s CT Knit & Wine Tour page. We hope that you find the information we have gathered to be helpful in planning a visit throughout Connecticut’s many unique yarn shops and local wineries and vineyards. The idea for this project came about because we were finding that people wanted to come to our mill to see it in operation, and viewed us as a destination place. We wanted a way to promote not only our small business, but also others in our area and throughout the state. We have the pleasure of turning fiber from many animals at local Connecticut farms into beautiful finished products, and what better way to showcase these products than by encouraging people to come out and take a look for themselves. We hope this information will provide you with the tools to plan some leisure time with a group of friends while seeing some of the Connecticut landscape. The Knit & Wine tour website offers directory information, map locations, and helpful links to websites for hours of operation. We asked a number of local area yarn shops and wineries if they wanted to be included in this project and were overwhelmed by the responses we received.
